This original art piece is handmade by me, Dr. Jessica Hodgson, an ecologist, and cyanotype artist.
With this original Australian bird print you can dazzle the room as the male Superb Lyrebird does with his iconic and stunning tail feathers! The Superb Lyrebird (Menura novaehollandiae) is a classic Australian species, most famous for its incredible ability to mimic the sound of anything and everything (Look them up on YouTube). Males have a large, decorative tail that they fan and shake whilst mimicking other sounds to attract a female mate.
Materials: This original artwork is made using finely woven cotton fabric
Size: The artwork is cut by hand to 8 x 10 inch / 20 x 25cm and then mounted onto gallery-quality, acid-free mounting board ready to frame in an 11 x 14-inch frame
